Q. How do I access funding?

Train to Gain full funding is available through the Centre – we will access it on your behalf.

Q. How long will I have to wait before my employee can start?

A. We aim to enrol a learner onto an NVQ within one month of the request.

Q. Do you cover shift patterns - eg nights?

A. Yes, our assessors will visit to meet your working needs.

Q. Can I get any help with staffing costs to cover whilst someone is doing thier NVQ?

A. Small employers, of less than 50 employees, may be eligible for a contribution to wages costs. We will provide details on request.

Q. How are learners assessed for a NVQ?

A. We use electronic assessment for all our NVQ’s which means learners have access to their portfolio on-line and are able to communicate with their assessor between assessment visits to the workplace.

Q. Do learners have to come to the Centre?

A. No, we will deliver NVQ’s at the workplace and our short courses can also be delivered at a venue of your choice, subject to sufficient numbers.

Q. What commitment will you want from me?

A. You will need to provide assessment opportunities in the workplace and ensure your learner meets with the assessor on a regular basis to ensure the time-scale for completion is met.
